"Speed is like a dozen transatlantic flights without ever getting off the plane. Time change. You lose, you gain. Makes no difference so long as you keep taking the pills. But sooner or later you’ve got to get out because it’s crashing, and all at once those frozen hours melt through the nervous system and seep out the pores".
— Withnail & I

An extract from Part 2

"Wind down the windows, close all the doors
Turn on the lights, got my foot to the floor
I'm burning through state lines following stars
On a trip round the moon and a journey to Mars.... and I'm free

Through the Golden Gate we'll drive this car
On a savage journey to the heart
So wind down the windows- I'm going out my mind
Chasing the white lines and knocking down signs... but I'm free"
